What Piano Recitals are Good For

I was baking a batch of White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice cookies while my two big kids conversed.

Cole: What is that wonderful smell?
Mom: It's the cinnamon in these cookies I'm baking for Meg's piano recital.
Cole: That's one good thing about going to Meg's recitals, especially the October one...that table full of cookies!
Meg: Is that the ONLY reason you like my recitals?
Cole: Of course not...
Mom: (Thinking to self) Nice, he's gonna say he owes her for all of the time she spends at his ball games...
Cole: Recitals are also a perfect time for a good nap!
Meg: COOOOLLLLE!!
Cole: Errr...after Meg has played of course.
